Torso

Painted only a couple of days ago, this had been previously sitting unfinished in the pantry, awaiting a few spare moments of my time. I tried to avoid child interaction but ended up with them wanting to paint also, so I gave them their own projects to paint while I did my own.

Libraries

I checked three books out of the library yesterday. They have techniques etc in them to do with drawing. I hope to get some time in which to practise and use them.

Broken Lizard

This is a piece of clay work I tried to turn my hand to. It looked alright before it dried, as there were no cracks in it. It was air dry clay and I chose to dry it on the hottest weekend we have had in about 100 years (or so they said). I think the high temperatures and the fact that the few days after that weekend were significantly cooler (due to storms etc), caused it to crack, and also the fact that I had used a wire model to mould the clay around. I still think it looks pretty cool though and I may even get around to finishing painting it.

Sails

(Picture to come)

Yesterday (Saturday 13th February, 2004) we headed to the beach to relax and enjoy the fresh salty air. I took the time to practice some drawing. I first tried to do a picture of the kids around the rock pools, but they wouldn't stay still, so I tried for the slow moving sail boats on the wide expanse of the ocean.

It is yet to be finished and when it is, it shall be posted up here.

Kullnane

This drawing started off after I agreed to help a friend with a book cover. (He was writing a book) I have since lost contact with him so am not sure what has happened to him and his book.
After drawing this picture I could see what changes/improvements could be needed. It would be on a black star filled night sky, sporting the purple/lavender coloured moon, high lighting the darkness. The characters faces would be real life heads, looking up towards the moon, to signify the three races within this book. The castle on the glacier edge would display the main place of play/storyline within the book. I can still see it despite this picture being 15months old. Perhaps one day I shall attempt to alter/improve the picture to suit my ideas.

Frog Hide 'n' Seek

This I did today. I decided I should practice drawing and so I did. I managed to get a few minutes of free time while the girls were outside painting.

Teslia

02/07/2000

This is an old drawing of mine. I used various different pictures to make her, using the pictures as models. I used to play her as a character when I role played on IRC.

Drow

Here is a picture I drew for someone. I am pleased with how it turned out. I originally used a picture from a firemens Calendar and altered it. This was my interpretation of the character that this person played.

It was completed on 30/08/2002.

Ugly

I couldn't help it but had to add this hugely contrasting picture. It is as the topic says "Ugly". It is unfinished and i doubt it will ever be finished.

Faerie

With a pic of my eldest, I altered it upon paper as it was drawn, finishing it up with colour.
